Mission

KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy is dedicated to providing its students with the knowledge, skills, and character traits needed to succeed in top-quality high schools, colleges, and in the competitive world beyond.

History

KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy is a tuition-free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory charter middle school that prepares its students for success in college. KIPP SF Bay Academy opened its doors in July 2003 in the Western Addition neighborhood of San Francisco. The school has received several awards, including the prestigious California Distinguished School Award, given to one percent of schools in the state. KIPP SF Bay is the highest-performing middle school in the San Francisco Unified School District, and is in the top nine percent of all public schools in California.

Our priority deadline for 2015-16 applications has passed. We currently have spots available in 5th and 8th grade. If you are interested in applying for either of these grades, please see important dates below. You must submit an application by April 8 in order to be considered for the drawing on April 15.

April 8 – Last date to apply
April 15 – Public random drawing for 5th/8th grade spots
April 20 – Parents notified via email
April 27 – Last date to accept offer

We currently have a waitlist for 6th and 7th grade spots. You are welcome to apply and put your child on the waitlist for these grades.
