KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy is dedicated to providing its students with the knowledge, skills, and character traits needed to succeed in top-quality high schools, colleges, and in the competitive world beyond.

History

KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy opened its doors for fifth graders in July 2003 in the Western Addition neighborhood of San Francisco. The school was founded by principal Lydia Glassie. In the state of California, KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy scores among the top 10% of all schools.  In 2007, KIPP SF Bay received the prestigious California Distinguished School award. Today, the school serves nearly 300 students.
