At KIPP schools:

  • parents are encouraged to be involved and contribute
  • teachers believe that all students will learn and achieve at the highest levels
  • students work hard and come to school ready to learn

We help students learn by:

  • creating a safe and structured learning environment
  • requiring parents, teachers, and students to all sign a Commitment to Excellence form that sets clear expectations
  • extending the school day, week, and year
  • offering extracurricular activities
  • organizing exciting end of year learning trips
  • having teachers available by cell phone after school for homework help
  • holding students accountable for their behavior as well as academic success
